Creative Biostructure Expands Protein Crystallization Service

February 22 18:50 2017

Creative Biostructure, specialized in providing contract services to both academia and biotech/pharmaceutical industries in the field of structural biology is pleased to upgrade its protein crystallization service to serve large-scale clients.

X-ray crystallography is a scientific method for determining the positions and arrangements of atoms in a crystal. Nowadays, more than 115,000 protein structures have been deposited into the Protein Data Bank and about 90% of them are by X-ray, suggesting its overwhelming advantages in protein structure study.

“Of the considerable number of things we’ve done of late, this is most likely the one the least constitutes ‘news’,” commented Joanna, Creative Biostructure representative, “We are enhancing and growing our protein structure research department as the innovation to do so becomes available. It’s quite routine around here.”

According to its official speaker, upgraded protein crystallization services at Creative Biostructure mainly include: co-crystallization, peptide crystallization, membrane protein crystallization, Bicelle-Protein Crystallization, Lipidic Cubic Phase (LCP) Crystallization, Controlled in Meso Phase (CLMP) Crystallization, etc.

The structural biology team at Creative Biostructure carries our high-resolution structure determination by using both in house X-ray facility and synchrotron light source.
