The first and only online, data and information repository and answer forum focused solely on medical tourism strategic planning for governments, investors, insurers, employers, & health tourism industry stakeholders.

Todd is the author of 14 peer-reviewed, commercially-published healthcare business titles including 4 professional textbooks on medical tourism business development.  She drew upon more than 30 years of professional work experience in healthcare business management, startup, operations, and as a medical group practice administrator, a hospital executive, surgical nurse, health law paralegal, insurance company provider network contractor and director and 4 years working as a travel agent and tour operator.

The new website is as an open information repository and community forum where medical tourism entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, health policy and government agencies can find useful information, advice, insights, resources, and inspiration for planning, launching, running and growing their medical tourism businesses. Todd, now 57, plans to endow the site as a legacy to continue in service after she retires.

She encourages experts to contribute their insight and experience through peer-reviewed articles and community forum questions and answers. Contributors can earn Expert VIP designation through engaging in activities that support knowledge sharing on the site. The caliber of the site’s content will be sustained and continually improved through peer review prior to publication.

Dr Todd has been working on medical tourism strategic planning projects for investors, government authorities, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers since 1983. When medical tourism began to pick up traction in 2003, she began working on projects with private investors, insurers and government authorities in the USA and Thailand.  Since then, her work has included projects on five continents. She is currently involved in developing the national health and medical tourism strategy for Greece on an EU funded project for economic development and healthcare reform in that country. Her other active projects in health tourism include several island nations in the Caribbean, USA, Europe, UAE, Asia, Africa and Latin America.

She has guided many employers through the process of establishing their medical tourism insurance benefit designs and mediated contract negotiations with foreign and domestic hospitals.  Todd also guides investors in their pre-investment due diligence activities and accompanies them on site visits to projects and to negotiate new medical tourism partner relationships under consideration. In 2010, she was awarded a trademark registration by the US Patent and Trademark Organization. The new term of art was used to describe the first and only Globally Integrated Health Delivery System®, designed to function as a third-party administrator (TPA) network to perform medical tourism employee health logistics, third-party payment coordination, and case management at an international level.

Her past clients have included Fortress Investment, LLC, (NYSE: FIG) and Geoffrey Kent, the founder, chairman and CEO of Abercrombie & Kent Group of Companies, in their preparation to launch A&K Global Health Kenya in 2011. Current clients include several government authorities and medical tourism investment projects in Turkey, Ukraine, Greece, Aruba, Mexico, Spain, and private hospitals, clinics and academic medical centers in the USA.
